A spare tire will likely not fit if you have added decorative brake caliper covers. However, you may test-fit the spare to determine if there is adequate clearance over the brake covers.
We design and test our wheels for brake clearance based on the dimensions of the original brake assembly.
Brake caliper covers are decorative plastic covers that attach to the brake calipers on your vehicle to enhance the car's appearance. Rarely, if ever, are brake caliper covers added as a factory original feature.
While your Modern Spare wheel may adequately clear your brake caliper covers, we cannot determine this as it will vary by vehicle model and, of course, by the type of decorative covers used on the brakes. Decorative caliper covers increase the brake's component size and reduce wheel clearance. If you install a spare to check for caliper cover clearance, be sure to test on both front and back. A minimum of 4 millimeters of free clearance is required to be considered within the proper range.
