The overall size of brake components can vary widely between trim levels of a single model. Modern Spare is careful to ensure brake clearance is accounted for on each model we support.
Accounting for large, high-performance brakes while also maintaining the proper wheel offset is quite an achievement for us. Designing a spare tire that meets both requirements is challenging. Increasing negative wheel offset is an easy way to boost brake clearance, but it compromises the support for your vehicle's weight provided by the spare.
When you enter your vehicle's year, make, and model information into our search tool, we consider brake clearance. If you need a larger wheel, your model will display designated options in the search tool. If you have concerns about fitment, need further confirmation, or have a vehicle model with unique requirements, please reach out to our support staff. We are happy to help.
